Use your account to open your budgets.
New here?
Give it a name — "Household", "Abbie", "The Business" — and open it to fill in categories and income. Invite another account to share it once it's open.
A simple three-column budget: plan it, forecast it from hours, then record what actually happened. Saved automatically to this budget.
Customize this budget here. Change its title, the budget year, pay rates, and withholding. Categories live on the Expenses tab; dollar figures live on Forecast and Actuals. Everything is saved automatically.
These labels appear on every tab. Changing the year rebuilds the twelve-month window.
Saved automatically as you type.
Someone forgot their password? Create a one-time code and give it to them. They enter it under "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen to choose a new one. A code works once and expires after an hour. This card only appears on the computer running the dashboard.
Permanently deletes this budget — categories, income, hours, paystubs, spending, and receipts — for every account it's shared with. This can't be undone. Only the owner can do this.
Applied to the hours on the calendar. Used by the Forecast tab only.
A flat percentage of taxable gross, used by the Forecast tab.
Whether bonus and gift money runs through withholding.
These are your own entries on the Forecast tab, shown here for reference.
The assumptions baked into the page. Anything not listed here is something you typed in.
Projected is a flat monthly plan. Pending follows the hours calendar. Actuals appear as you enter paystubs.
Net take-home less expenses, on each of the three bases.
Where the projected monthly budget goes, largest first.
This is where you define what categories exist. Add or rename groups and categories here — they appear on Forecast, Actuals, and Compare. Dollar figures for the flat monthly plan live on the Forecast tab.
Rename in place. Use the arrows to reorder, the group menu to move a category, and the bin to delete — deleting asks twice if figures are recorded against it.
A quick audit of where figures have been entered, so you can see what a deletion would take with it.
This is the flat monthly plan. Nothing here is pulled from the hours calendar or paystubs. The annual column is the monthly figure times twelve. Categories are managed on the Expenses tab.
Enter monthly gross, then the taxes and deductions you expect to be withheld.
Each line takes a dollar figure or a percentage of gross or net — set the mode beside the number. Categories are the list on the Expenses tab.
Hours are read from the calendar. Bonus and gift are yours to enter per month.
Blank means "same as projected". Type a figure to override that line.
A quick estimate — price per gallon, your vehicle's MPG, and the distance you're planning to drive. Doesn't feed any total automatically; it's just here for reference while you fill in the Gas category above.
This tab is the record of what actually happened. Paystubs roll into the month of their pay date. Actual spending is entered one month at a time.
Enter each stub as it arrives. Net pay is what feeds the actual budget.
Bonus or gift money that did not come through a paystub. Entered as the amount you actually received.
Net take-home, expenses, and surplus on all three bases. Variance columns compare against projected.
The only thing this drives is the Pending budget. Projected and Actuals ignore it.
Upload a receipt and Claude reads it for you. A photo, a PDF, or a
Word document — it extracts the merchant, date, and total, and suggests a category. You confirm before
anything is added to Actuals. Requires an ANTHROPIC_API_KEY on the server (see the README).
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, PDF, or .docx — up to 15MB.
Claude's best read of the receipt — fix anything before it becomes a number in your budget.
